Tracee C. Short, MD, attended the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio in San Antonio, TX, and received her medical degree in 2006. She then went on to serve her surgical internship and general surgery residency at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center Mercy in Pittsburgh, PA (2006-2011). In addition, Dr. Short completed her fellowship training in cosmetic surgery at English Plastic & Cosmetic Surgery in Little Rock, Arkansas (2011-2012), followed by her fellowship in burn surgery at the University of North Carolina Jaycee Burn Center in Chapel Hill, NC (2012-2013). Dr. Short received board certification in general surgery from the American Board of Surgery. She maintains active professional memberships of the American Academy of Cosmetic Surgery and the American Burn Association.
